1. Who you are dealing with
PartSignal and Material Inventory are operated by Amin VVS AB, a Swedish limited company, org. no. 559082-4552, Snödroppsgatan 86, Malmö, Sweden. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Amin VVS AB. You can reach us at [email protected].
By creating a search, paying a fee or requesting access, you accept these terms. If you act for a company, you confirm that you may bind that company.
2. What PartSignal does
You describe a part or photograph it. PartSignal works out what the part most likely is, whether the same part is or was made under another brand or number, and whether a working one is already documented and unused in Material Inventory. The result is a record: what was found, where it was found, and how confident the finding is.
Identification is done by automated image and text analysis, checked against our own catalogue of manufacturer documentation and against public marketplaces. Where a finding is marked as manufacturer-confirmed, that means the manufacturer has confirmed the equivalence in writing to us. Everything else is a candidate.
3. A candidate is not a guarantee
A PartSignal result tells you what to check next. It does not tell you that a part fits, is in stock, is safe to install, or is approved for your system. We do not promise that a search will find anything.
A qualified professional must verify before anything is ordered, reused, replaced or installed. Dimensions, pressure and temperature ratings, electrical data, approvals and the condition of the actual item all have to be checked against the real installation. We are not responsible for purchases, work or damage that follow from acting on a record without that verification.
4. Prices and payment
PartSignal is never free. The current prices are shown before you pay and are always the ones charged at checkout:
- €1 per search. One search is one part, described or photographed once, with the photos and context you add to that request.
- €10 to keep a search open for 12 months. We re-run the search automatically at intervals and email you when something new turns up. This is offered when the first search found nothing confirmed.
- Material Inventory professional access from €49. The scope and price are shown in the access flow before payment.
Prices are in euro and include Swedish VAT where VAT applies. Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see your card number. Business customers who need an invoice with VAT details can ask us by email after paying; VAT treatment follows your country and company status, and you are responsible for your own tax and accounting obligations.
5. Cancellation and refunds
A search starts the moment your payment is confirmed and is normally finished within minutes. When you pay for a search you ask us to begin at once, and you accept that the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal ends when the search has been performed.
If you paid to keep a search open, you can cancel within 14 days of paying and we refund the €10 in full, unless a re-check has already found and sent you a new result in that time. After 14 days the fee is not refunded, but you can stop the re-checks at any time by emailing us.
If a search fails for technical reasons on our side and no record is produced, we refund the search fee or run it again, whichever you prefer.
6. Kept-open searches and expiry
A search that is kept open stays active for 12 months from payment. During that time we re-run it and email you about new findings. We do not promise that a re-check finds anything. After 12 months the request expires and is closed unless you choose to keep it open again.
7. What you upload
You keep the rights to the photos and descriptions you upload. You give us the right to store and process them to run your search, to improve identification of the same part type for other searches, and to keep the record for as long as described in our privacy policy.
Upload only photos of parts and installations. Do not upload images of people, documents with personal data, or material you do not have the right to share. We may remove uploads that break this rule and close the related request without refund if the upload was clearly abusive.
8. Material Inventory
Material Inventory is a professional record of visible installation parts: what they are, their markings, condition, quantity and where they are. Access is granted to professionals after a request and payment. A record in Material Inventory describes what somebody documented at a point in time. It is not an offer to sell, a stock promise or a statement that a part is fit for reuse.
If you record parts, you confirm that you are allowed to document them and that what you enter is true to the best of your knowledge. You may only record a part as available if it is physically under your control.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change how the service works, change prices for future purchases, or withdraw a feature. Price changes never apply to a search or an access period you have already paid for.
We may update these terms. The date at the top tells you when. Material changes are shown in the service before they take effect for new purchases.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for anything connected to a search or an access period is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect loss, such as lost profit, delays on site or costs of parts bought on the basis of a candidate that was not verified. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer rights.
11. Law and disputes
Swedish law applies. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules in your own country of residence. Consumers in Sweden can turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN). Consumers elsewhere in the EU can use their national consumer dispute body. Otherwise disputes are settled by the Swedish courts, with Malmö District Court as the first instance.
